Rewires
Does your electrical wiring include cables coated in rubber, lead or fabric? Are your sockets round pin or do you have round light switches and braided flex hanging from ceiling roses? Do you have light switches in your bathroom? Does your fusebox have a wooden back and rewrieable fuses? If so your installation may be more than 40 years old and will be in need of rewiring. If your installation is over 25years old or if you have no RCD protection, then you may want to have an inspection and remedial work carried out before you undertake a complete rewire. Earthing
Do you know if your home has adequate earthing? The purpose of earthing is to minimise the risk of receiving an electric shock if touching metal parts when an electrical fault is present. In addition you may need supplementary earthing fixed to metal parts in your bathroom, kitchen or shower room. Fuseboards
